The name of River Kwai evokes wrenching memories of World War II. But Kanchanaburi has much more to offer than gruesome reminders of the losses and sufferings. Much of the province is covered by little explored forest ideal for adventurous cyclists and nature lovers.

TOUR HIGHLIGHT:

This trip is a special cycling tour to observe beautiful natural area along the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi province that hardly visited by tourists with a chance to experience real rural life of agricultural community in Thailand Central Plains. These bicycle tours bring you to ride in small scenic back roads, alleys, temples, forests and even the small dirt road beside the death railway. Our cycling trips begin to ride in gardener village sites on Ampawa Canal in Samut Songkram, Thailand smallest province to visit Thailand's famous Floating Market, "Damnoen Saduak" and in Kanchanaburi, bordering province of Thailand and Burma where we will ride on a scenic back road that follow along Kwai Noi River past agricultural villages and mixed forest hillside of Thong Pha Phum district through the Death Railway of World War II. This program include a chance to visit the Bridge over River Kwai, the Second World War Museum and the Hellfire Pass (an old World War II railway line sites among rickety Cliffside trellises link Thailand and Myanmar) including visit the massive "Phra Pathom Chedi", a 127 meters tall pagoda and the most venerated Buddhist monument in Thailand.

ITINERARY

Day 1:
Bangkok - Samut Songkram - Kanchanaburi --- (Ride 25-30 km)
7.00 a.m. Depart Bangkok by air-con van to Samut Songkram, Thailand's smallest province. Begin ride on scenic village road past tropical fruit orchards, coconut plantations, temples and agricultural villages to the "Damnoern Saduak Floating Market". Here! We will get an experience of tradition market life style where traders meets on the narrow "klongs" to trade products and wares by sampan boat. After that continue riding through a riverside restaurant on the Mae Klong River. Taste many kinds of Ampawa food recipes made from coconuts, lotus, and fresh water fishes of the river cooked with Thai herbs. Before continue our trip by van to Kanchanaburi. Visit the world famous "the bridge over the River Kwai" and its museum before heading to the Resotel, a beautiful resort site on the River Kwai Bank.

Day 2: Kanchanaburi --- (Ride 60-80 km)
After breakfast, travel by boat (20 min.) then change to travel by van to Thong Pha Phum District. Begin cycling up and down on scenic back road that follow along the River Kwai past agricultural villages, fruit orchards and bamboo forest to Sai Yok district where we have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit "the Hell Fire Pass Museum" before take a boat to cross the River Kwai to continue our cycling trip in teak forest trail back to the Resotel. Evening is free time to relax on swimming pool OR choose to refresh your body with a famous Thai Tradition Massage (not include in this tour price).

Day 3: Kanchanaburi - Bangkok --- (Ride 50-60 km)
Today continue riding on scenic back road that follow along the River Kwai past agricultural villages and community's preservation teak forest through the death railway of Kasae Cave. After lunch we travel by van to Nakhon Pathom province, an ancient town used for centuries as an overland route to link India to Thailand and a birthplace of Buddhism in Thailand to visit "Phra Pathom chedi", the world's tallest pagoda before travel back to Bangkok.

ACCOMMODATION:

Day time is for adventure, fun and seeing beautiful world, but night time shall make a restful, deep sleep possible.
Our concept for the overnight stay accommodations is based on cleanness, good service, kindness and excellent landscape situation. Not every nature idyll offers super hotels.
With the hotel concept the heading of the stage tour is also taken into account.

We provides good quality 24 gear mountain bikes with front suspension that fixed for your height from size 13" till size 20" including helmets (size medium and large) and bicycle water bottles.

A support air-con van with Thule roof rack accompanies during riding to carry supplies, bicycle tools & spare parts, first aid kits, drinking water, snacks and provide a welcome break when your have had enough peddling for the day.

Our experienced trailed leader accompanies group during riding with a two-way radios.
